Blankgen76 I like Body/Head’s records a lot. I like this record even more. Favorite track: Part 6.

wanelietoc The way part 2 bubbles and lumbers, like slowcore or part 8 reverberates and shakes like psych rock-small moments add up to a beautiful piece of abstract guitar work. It's like a walk on a crusty, darkened beach, with sludgy water ebbing and flowing so naturally. <3 Favorite track: Part 8.

Mark Neal a masterpiece from start to finish. an evolution of mood and soundscapes that resonate in the deep part of your body Favorite track: Part 8.

martin corey When I first bought a guitar (at age 40) I found I could make interesting journeys in sound even though I didn't know how to play. The more I learned, the further away I seemed to get from being able to do what I wanted to do. Bill Nace seems to have squared this circle by making an album of free improvisation which none-the-less contains structure and musical sensibility. It's mesmerising.

about

Free guitar for the new age: improv with intention, construction and destruction, all with the grain and air of performance captured and telescoped in a sonic particle collider. Makes sense, and not just because of the chaotic times. With Both, terminal collaborator Bill Nace (Body/Head, Thurston Moore) has found a stimulating, chiaroscuro-stubbled path back to the electric guitar's anarchic promise, drawn through eight colorful pieces that are equal parts sound, noise and music.
